SourceMedical Acquires Medical Information Management Systems

SourceMedical, leading source for clinical and business software solutions used by freestanding ambulatory surgery centers, surgical hospitals and physical therapy clinics, has acquired Medical Information Management Systems, LLC (MIMS).

The acquisition follows a successful pilot program designed to specifically test the combined capabilities of SourceMedical's TherapySource Software integrated with MIMS primary software, Rehab Toolkit (RMT). RMT, a therapy practice management and billing solution, proved to be an excellent match for interoperability with SourceMedical's TherapySource software, the most comprehensive clinical documentation system available to the rehabilitation market. It was mutually determined that an acquisition of MIMS by SourceMedical would facilitate the strategic objectives of both companies.

TherapySource is a clinical and administrative solution developed specifically for physical, occupational and speech therapy clinics. It enables facilities to maximize revenue by strengthening their ability to capture and manage more comprehensive, accurate clinical documentation at the point of care. Built to handle multiple sites across the enterprise, TherapySource streamlines and automates clinical and financial processes.
